To combat Covid 19, we need to control the movement of the public. However, it is necessary to allow persons needed for essential services to move about freely. Then it is necessary for the general public to purchase essential goods.
We do it by paper Curfew passes. It is cumbersome to create and verify.
Use a smartphone app to do this work. When a person gets registered he will give the necessary details. The app will produce a 2d barcode. This barcode will be entered into a central database.
At a checkpoint, the user will show the 2d barcode to the checking officer's smartphone. A message will be sent to the central database. A response will be received at the checking officer's smartphone. The response will be GREEN if all clear. YELLOW if there is a suspected problem, and the user is advised to rectify by contacting appropriate authorities. RED after several continuous violations with the YELLOW flag RED flag will be indicated. A spot fine will be imposed.
