Is it that we cannot imagine anything new in our minds that are byproducts of our earlier thoughts plus material inputs from our senses.

Take for instance the discovery of benzene structure and the dream of Kekule, a snake eating its tail and atoms dancing in a ring. There is nothing new here, all are everyday happenings. Only thing is a new concept was formed using some old concepts.

What about Archimedes theorem? It was not a random finding. Ancient Greeks saw the relationship of 3, 4 and 5 satisfying the theorem. Like 2 apples plus 2 apples gives 4, they formed the rule 2+2=4.

But is it not possible to have a completely random form become a rule that everyone follows? The problem is this rule should be directed to some physical thing, only then it will be cemented as a rule accepted by everyone. Therefore all mathematics started somewhere physical, two or more rules created new rules and so on.

Is thinking only limited to this? What will be like if align comes to our world and say something completely align. Can we understand it. In a way it is better the don't come - so much of conflicts in the world where it is possible to communicate meaningfully, think of the chaos that can be created. Maybe that is why we don't find them - SETI program has failed.

So what is knowledge? Is it all inputs from environment thorough our senses, from birth, and creating links - concepts, to these inputs?

So we cannot have crazy ideas at all, we can have only known ideas or a mix of them.

This is very evident if you think of a computer. All what we get, is, what we put in, no more, no less. A sudden demon won't spring up from it, this we are certain. Our brain is not much different from a computer. Computer is a calculator it odd the same with our brain.

I should say something about art and music. What about these, aren't they create new things. We will not term as art or music anything newly created. We call it noise, visual or acoustical. If we cannot find patterns, it is noise. If we find patterns, then it is related to our earlier thoughts. Then we have art and music.

Our brain is an instrument smart in finding patterns. Much smarter than all current computers. It might change with the invention of quantum computers.

If this theory is accepted as correct, it will have far reaching consequences. A cyclone cannot create an aircraft. Random movements cannot create something very organised and structured. In the same way life cannot be created by random movement of atoms. Then this begs the question was there a beginning in the universe?

Sometimes what is wrong with everything like the conflict that can arise with this theory and big bang is because of our upstanding of time. We take for grant what we think of time without much thought. Suppose time is very different, and there was no beginning then it confirms this theory. Humanity in earth or life on earth can end with an astronomical action. Therefore life should exist in other places.

Knowledge and observer consensus

On certainty by Wittgenstein, a similar idea is put forward. When everyone accepts a certain fact as true, it it's true. By logic you can't prove that a fact is true. Because there will be train of facts. One is true because some other fact is true, that fact this fact is true because even another fact is true. So there is no end(some say God is the end-but that is not logic). For instance how do you know that 2+2=4? We can't prove it, by experience know it. We are taught it is correct, when we are small. In Wittgenstein's words we have never made a mistake, 2+2=4 was always correct never wrong. So we know that it is correct.

TIME is the same. It is artificial, man made, when everyone comes to a conscientious, we all accept the flow of time.

This is very similar to the conscientious of crypto miners regarding accepting transactions to be inserted in the blockchain. They will reject transactions that are not in conformity with standards created by the crypto community. This is very similar to a scientist reading some new idea in the internet, if the idea is mostly in conformity with the accepted norms he will accept the idea provisionally, and read more on the matter to check what other scientists think about it. Only after coming to a conscientious, he will accept the idea. It is important to understand that everyone is not going to build a practical accelerator, to verify the results printed in experiments done in one practical accelerator. May be several other practical accelerators will check and publish the results. People at large will accept the results.

Philosophical investigations: interesting remark: suppose a man from childhood lives in a cave without no interactions of any other human being from birth, hunts and sleep in the cave. Say to hunt he need to get up at dawn or he has to be hungry that day. One day he gets up late and cannot hunt. What will be the mental status of him. Does he ponder about his failure of getting up late and determine to get up early next day? Or he won't think anything just go hungry and sleep a bit more. Without language he can't think! The animals will just do that.

Identifying repetitions is knowledge

Knowledge is finding repetitions in the environment. When the human brain develop from a baby to a grown man it will learn to identify religions. Even the brain is geared to deal with repetitions. More something is repeated more you remember.repetitions is a part of learning of the brain. Knowledge is something only related to a brain. It is true even for animals. Knowledge is used by animals in finding food, sex, survival of the species and other basic needs of life. Regarding humans it has gone beyond the basic needs. Lot of knowledge is utilised in hunting by lions or whales are examples. Maybe hunting is the origination of complicated knowledge. It is more complicated than just eating grass. Carnivores may have developed knowledge over the herbivores.

Each concept created by the human brain is the identification of a new repetition. Creating concepts is a continued process that is never ending, as long as human race exists. And after that artificial intelligence will take over.

If the universe is finite there will be finite number of patterns - repetitions. It will be possible to create a superior pattern from the basic pattern. Then more patterns can be created on these superior patterns. And the process can go on till you create an ultimate pattern. This pattern is ultimate knowledge, the god. W can term it as god sequence.

Finding the generalities, finding the connections is the same as searching for patterns or sequences.

Observer of universe

Intelligence, knowledge will not occur without an observer. Try to visualise a system of events without an outside observer. There will be no meaning in such a system if each element of the system were to analyse it's own experience and come to conclusions about the environment as a whole.Even if each element advertise it's own experience, you will need other elements to do the advertising - like photons, the problem is these advertising elements are also part of the system and there should exist a method to analyze the actions of these advertisers. On the other side, each element needs to know the whole universe which don't look very practical.

A better method is to have outside observers independent of the system to observe the happening of the elements.

This system will have elements which will be basic building blocks where action will be performed. Then there will be massage carriers that are independent of elements. Then there will be observers.
You can draw a parallel with a drama or a play. There will be actors who perform, then there is a medium that carry the message to the ordinance, and there is an ordinance that enjoys the play. The actors being human, cannot be barred from also being ordinance, but, ideally they should not.

The actors, ordinance and medium need to be independent. But like in a play they may be fused together. For instance message carriers - usually photons, are also elements, but the don't have a dual responsibility. When they carry massages the will cease to be elements. Most of the problems arise in a system when responsibilities are fused together. A good example is light signals in special relativity. They are the messenger but they are also elements.

Observer will have a memory that will record the events the elements played out. Then it will have the ability to identify symmetries in these records and compress the data. This will help it to use this compressed data to find out further symmetries and make more compressions. This compression and its symmetries are the knowledge. These compressions and symmetries are embedded in our brains are called knowledge. The more the person is able to find symmetries, the more knowledge he will have.

Memory alone in the brain will not constitute knowledge, when it is able to find symmetries of the memory and compress the data, finding more links in the data, it's knowledge will increase.

There is another twist in the observer. The scientific knowledge or universal knowledge happens when all the observers merge into one universal observer. This will give universal facts that everyone accepts.

Observer gives meaning to the system. Without him the system is just a random  set of events. Observer will find the patterns and the meaning of the system.
Observer can poke the system to obtain desired effects. This is seen in a play when the audience claps.

Observer may poke a system to get a response. There will be no difference between elements themselves doing something or observer poking the system. The difference will be observer can use the knowledge that he poked the system. This is casualty.

There are two kinds of observers, passive and active. Astronomy observers are passive they are unable to participate in astronomical events like birth of a supernova. An observer working in a lab say an particle accelerator will be actively poking on the elements being experimented.

The passive observer cannot guarantee casualty of events.
Active observer can state an event was caused by him. He will have empirical evidence that if he did not act the event will not take place.

We cannot ignore the observer and interpret the happening of events. Special relativity is a case where the influence of the observer is embedded in the theory itself that try to interpret events of moving frames.
